🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Lead fabric development and technical evaluation for woven, knit, and performance fabrics

🔹 Review fabric specifications, construction, GSM, shrinkage, color fastness, and performance standards

🔹 Coordinate with mills, suppliers, merchandising, and QA teams for fabric approvals

🔹 Ensure fabric quality compliance and resolve technical issues during development and production stages

🔹 Monitor fabric testing, lab dips, bulk approvals, and risk assessments

🔹 Drive continuous improvement in fabric innovation, sustainability, and cost optimization

🔹 Support customer presentations and provide technical recommendations to buyers

🔹 Manage critical path activities to ensure on-time delivery and production readiness

 

🎓 Educational Qualification

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering / Textile Technology or related discipline . Additional certification in Fabric Technology or Textile Manufacturing will be an advantage

 

💼 Experience

📌 10+ years of relevant experience in fabric technical management within apparel sourcing, buying house, trading office, or textile manufacturing environment

📌 Strong exposure to knit, woven, denim, and functional fabrics

📌 Experience working with international retailers/brands preferred

 

🛠️ Skills & Competencies

✅ Strong knowledge of fabric construction, dyeing, finishing, and testing standards

✅ Expertise in fabric performance analysis and troubleshooting

✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

✅ Good command of English (written & verbal)

✅ Ability to manage multiple developments and production timelines
