We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven General Manager – Merchandising (Sweater) to lead merchandising operations for a reputed foreign sourcing/trading organization based in Dhaka.

 

🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Lead the complete merchandising function for Sweater products from development to shipment.

🔹 Manage global buyers and ensure excellent customer relationship management.

🔹 Drive product development, costing, negotiation, order execution, and margin optimization.

🔹 Coordinate closely with factories, suppliers, technical, quality, and production teams.

🔹 Monitor order status, critical path, and on-time delivery performance.

🔹 Lead and develop a high-performing merchandising team.

🔹 Identify sourcing opportunities and support business growth initiatives.

🔹 Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and company standards.

 

✅ Requirements

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Business, or related discipline.

🧶 15 years of merchandising experience with strong exposure to Sweater products in any Buying Office or Factory

🌍 Experience working with international buyers, sourcing offices, or trading companies.

💼 Strong knowledge of product development, yarn sourcing, costing, and supply chain management.

📊 Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

✈️ Ability to travel locally and internationally as required.

 

⭐ Preferred Profile

✔ Proven track record of handling major European, UK, or North American buyers.

✔ Strong commercial acumen and business development capability.

✔ Experience managing large merchandising teams and multiple vendor portfolios.
