We are seeking a “Head of Technical (Outerwear)” to lead innovation, quality, and technical excellence. This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to shape world-class products for global markets.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
🧵 Technical Leadership
✨Lead the technical department for outerwear across development and production
✨Establish technical standards, SOPs, and best practices
📐 Product Development Oversight
✨Manage tech pack creation, garment construction, and fit approval processes
✨Oversee sample development from proto to bulk production
🏭 Production & Quality Control
✨Ensure manufacturing feasibility and cost efficiency
✨Implement quality assurance systems to meet global compliance standards
✨Troubleshoot technical and production challenges
🧥 Fabric & Innovation Management
✨Drive R&D for performance fabrics, insulation, seam sealing, and waterproofing technologies
✨Stay updated on outerwear trends, sustainability practices, and technical advancements
👥 Team Leadership
✨Lead, mentor, and develop technical and QA teams
✨Coordinate cross-functionally with merchandising, sourcing, and design teams
📊 Costing & Risk Management
✨Optimize production costs without compromising quality
✨Identify and mitigate technical risks in production
🎓 Education
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Garment Technology, or related field
🏆 Qualifications & Experience
✔️ 12–15+ years of experience in garment manufacturing, with strong focus on outerwear
✔️ Proven leadership experience in technical or production roles
✔️ Strong knowledge of waterproofing, seam sealing, insulation, performance fabrics, and garment construction
✔️ Experience working with international brands and compliance standards
✔️ Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
✔️ Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
✔️ Proficiency in PLM systems, garment CAD software, and quality control processes
